Marimekko is a Finnish design house celebrated worldwide for its original prints and colours. Founded in 1951 by a visionary woman Armi Ratia, Marimekko is said to be one of the world's first real lifestyle brands combining fashion, bags and accessories as well as home decoration into one unique point of view.

Made from cotton, this cushion cover features the Seireeni pattern. The cover has a concealed zipper on one side. Marimekko cushion covers are sewn using the whole width of the fabric, and therefore their appearance may vary slightly. Each item is unique.
While traveling in Greece in the early 1960s, Maija Isola got inspired by the movement of water and depicted it in several fabric prints, including Seireeni (siren) from 1964. Named after the mythological sirens, the pattern also recalls the enchanting singing that lured sailors into dangerous waters.
